The 2019 NHS Football Captains
NHS CAPTAIN: TREVOR FOLEY
POS: C / LB Trevor was once again elected by his peers to lead the 2019 Clippers. A junior captain in 2018, Trevor was a leader in many ways. When called upon, he became the vocal leader and took control on the offensive line and in the defensive huddle. As a 'lead by example' type, Trevor rarely came off of the field; He understood being hurt versus being injured and was a key player in all aspects of the game. A throwback player and style, Trevor is poised to have a huge Senior season and lead the Clippers. Trevor's football bloodlines run deep at NHS, his grandfather, Wall of Fame member, Jack Foley was an all star captain on the Class C championship in 1956. |
NHS CAPTAIN: CHARLIE CAHALANE
POS: QB / DB Charlie was named Captain this fall after a terrific off season and preseason camp. Charlie took over as QB last year against Bedford and did a terrific job and accounted for seven scores in the following weeks. Charlie is a rare 3- sport athlete and plays basketball and baseball. Elected Captain this season based on not only his play and leadership qualities but on the way he carries himself. A top performer in the classroom and HIGH level of character. Carries himself with pride, has respect for others, a true gentleman. Brother Jack (NHS 16’) was a former standout WR and stellar Safety for the Clippers. |
NHS CAPTAIN: TREVOR WARD
POS: WR / DB Trevor came into the fold last season with over 250 all purpose yards and added an explosive element to the Clippers offense. He made key plays for the Clippers all season, including a terrific catch and run to put the Clippers into position for a last second game winning field goal at Pentucket. Named Captain for the exact same reasons we selected Charlie; Elected Captain this season based on not only his play and leadership qualities but on the way he carries himself. A top performer in the classroom and HIGH level of character. Carries himself with pride, has respect for others, a true gentleman.Trevor is also a standout member of the track and field team and looks to be a major contributor this winter with NHS basketball as another standout 3 - sport athlete. |
NHS CAPTAIN: WALKER BARTKIEWICZ
POS: TE/R/LB/K Walker was named captain at the season midpoint by the coaching staff. He not only dedicated himself during the off season, attending clinics and in the weightroom but has shown a maturity and leadership ability throughout the season. Walker is a vocal leader and a lead by example type player. A dynamic athlete who plays almost any position on the field. Last year he emerged as one of the areas top players with a range from Oline and Dline to skill positions and kicker. He is also the Captain elect for the 2019-2020 baseball team. |
