The Book of Bert
|
Bert Spofford was a legendary local who donated hundreds of hours of time digging through local archives in order to compile local sports histories. The largest collection was a handwritten document of over 1,000 pages combined with news clippings and pictures telling the story of NHS Football.
In 2012, the NGC began the process of integrating the compiled records of Bert with every season since he left off in 1997. Bert was the original "nex gen" stats; creating categories in every area. The NGC has selected the biggest categories and created cutoffs in our record books above. Bert's original hand written books are located in the NHS Library (reference), copies are located at the NPL Archives and in the files of the NGC. Digital PDF's are listed below. |

The 125th Anniversary
|
This booklet was sold at NHS and sporting events in 1993. Few copies seemed to have survived, but a nice packet with articles and history of sports and NHS in general.
